Vicwood Golf Links, Washington
Designed with a Scottish flair, Vicwood Golf Links is not only a visually appealing course, but
also is fun to play. The wide open fairways allow golfers to experience a great game of golf as well as the surrounding beauty. On a clear day, Mt. Rainier is
visible from most holes on the front nine, while tranquil views of Puget Sound
and the Olympic Mountains can be found on the back nine. Vicwood is a
challenging and pleasurable golfing experience.
This 18-hole, daily-fee, links-style course is incorporated into a residential community.
Thompson Golf Planning provided design development through construction documents and observation of this 6800 yard course overlooking Puget Sound. This user friendly course opened in April 1999 and co-hosted the PNGA Senior Team tournament in September
1999. It was rated a "Top 10 Affordable Public Course"
in Golf Digest's "1999 Best New Course" survey, and
was the only West Coast course.
